Procurement
Clear the list of ingredients that still need a supplier, allergens or calories, one at a time or in bulk.
Inventory Manager > Procurement (Beta) lists ingredients that are not complete yet. New ingredients from Engineering land here, marked as needing sourcing.
Each row has three checks: Supplier, Allergens and Calories. A red icon means it is still needed. By default the list shows only items without a supplier; click Show all to review allergens and calories too.
Add a supplier to one ingredient
Click the red basket icon. In Add a supplier, type the supplier's name and, optionally, the price, then click Add supplier. A new name is added to your supplier list automatically. The real price is confirmed when you receive the first order.
Assign a supplier to many
- Tick the ingredients.
- In the bar that appears, pick or type a supplier and, optionally, a price.
- Click Assign supplier.
Fill allergens and calories for everything
Click to estimate allergens and calories for every item at once. It only fills blanks.
These are estimates
ChefAdmin cannot know the exact product a site buys. Check allergens and calories against your supplier's data, and show an allergen disclaimer to customers.
When the list is empty you will see Everything's complete.
Why this matters
An ingredient without a supplier and price has no cost, so the dishes that use it look cheaper than they are. Clear this list before you rely on your food cost.
