Download ChefAdmin from the App Store or Google Play. You can also sign up from a browser at kms.chefadmin.com by choosing New here? Create a free account.

On the welcome screen, Build your cookbook., enter your name, your email and a password of at least 8 characters, then tap Get started.

Already have an account? Tap I already have an account. and sign in instead.

Name your kitchen

ChefAdmin asks What should we call your kitchen? This is the name of your , the place your recipes live. Type a name and tap Save name, or tap Skip for now and do it later.

You need a connection the first time

Signing up and your first sign in need the internet. After that, the app keeps working when your signal drops.

Capture your first recipe

The Hub shows Your first recipe in seconds. Just talk or snap. with two shortcuts. Pick the one that suits you.

  1. Tap Say your first recipe.
  2. Tap the microphone and talk it through: the name, then the ingredients with amounts, then the steps in order. For example: "Charred octopus. 1.2 kg octopus, bay, garlic, lemon, olive oil. Simmer 45 minutes, cool, char on the grill."
  3. Tap the microphone again to stop. ChefAdmin writes down what you said.
  4. Tap Turn it into a recipe.

You can speak in English, Arabic, Urdu, Hindi, Tagalog, Bahasa Indonesia, Spanish or French. The saved recipe is always in English.

Check it and save

ChefAdmin shows Here's what I read. Give it a once-over:

  • Dish name and Category. A category is required; ChefAdmin picks one for you when it can.
  • This recipe is a: or .
  • Serves: how many portions it makes.
  • Ingredients: each with a quantity and unit. Mark anything you make yourself, such as a sauce, as I make it and ChefAdmin drafts it as a sub recipe for you.
  • Method: the steps in order.

Tap Add to cookbook. You will see In the book. and your recipe appears in your .
