Ready for approval
Send a recipe from your own space to one of your company's brands so a manager can match it and approve it.
When you work for a company on ChefAdmin, your recipes start in your own space. Ready for approval sends a copy to a company brand, where a manager checks it, matches the ingredients and approves it.
Send a recipe
Open the recipe
Open it from your Cookbook and tap the options menu.
Choose Ready for approval
Tap Ready for approval. The option appears when the recipe can be sent.
Pick the brand
Choose the company brand it is for. You will see Sent to [brand]. It's waiting for approval.
Its go with it, however deep they go. If a waiting copy of a sub recipe is already there, it is reused. Exact matches to your company inventory are filled in for the manager.
Which brands can I send to?
- Owners: any company brand.
- Everyone else: only the brands you are assigned to.
If you see You're not assigned to a brand yet. Ask your manager., your manager needs to add you to a brand on the desktop.
Solo chefs do not see this option, because there is no company to send to.
Following the recipe
The recipe shows where it stands:
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Waiting for approval in [brand] | Sent, waiting for a manager. |
| Changed since sent | You edited it after sending. |
| Approved into [brand] | Approved and promoted. It is now your company's recipe. |
You can keep editing
The recipe stays yours until it is approved, and the waiting copy follows your edits. Only the parts you change are updated, so the manager's matching and notes are kept. A changed recipe goes back to draft for the manager to check again.
What the manager does
On the desktop, the manager sees Waiting for approval, sent by [you] in . They every ingredient to company inventory, then approve and it. A recipe cannot be approved until every ingredient is matched.
