Tour of the chef app
A tour of the ChefAdmin chef app for iPhone and Android, and where everything lives.
The chef app is the front door to ChefAdmin for chefs, and where recipes start. What you capture is yours: everything you capture lands in your until you decide to share it.
The five tabs
Along the bottom of the screen, from left to right:
| Tab | What it is for |
|---|---|
| Hub | Your home screen: shortcuts, the recipe you were last working on, imports to finish and, in a company, the kitchen actions. |
| Cookbook | Every recipe you can see, split into Menu Items and Sub Recipes. See Cookbook and brands. |
| Camera button (centre) | Add a recipe: say it, snap it, build it or import a file. See Capture a recipe. |
| Marketlist | All the ingredients your recipes use. See Marketlist. |
| Portfolio | Your brands and their recipe books. See Portfolio. |
Settings is the gear icon at the top of the Hub.
The Hub
From top to bottom, the Hub can show:
- Get started, until you have your first recipe: Say your first recipe and Snap a recipe.
- Finish your rip: one card for each import you have not finished.
- Pick up where you left off: your latest recipe, with a note if it needs matching or finishing.
- Two tiles: Capture a recipe, and a tile showing how many recipes you have and how many need finishing.
- Actions, if you work for a company on ChefAdmin: Requisition, Stocktake and Receive delivery. See Kitchen actions.
