Troubleshooting
Fixes for the problems people run into most often, from signing in to missing menu items.
Signing in
| Problem | Fix |
|---|---|
| "Your email is not verified" | Click Reverify Email on the sign in page and follow the link in the email. |
| "No active subscription found" | Your company's Kitchen plan has lapsed. The account owner should email info@godark.ai. |
| The app says "No signal" | The first sign in needs the internet. After that the app works offline. |
| Session timed out | Sign in again; you will pick up where you left off. |
The chef app
| Problem | Fix |
|---|---|
| "ChefAdmin can't hear you" | Allow microphone access for ChefAdmin in your phone's settings. |
| A photo could not be read | Try again in better light, flatten the card, or type it in. |
| "You've built your free recipes" | You have used the free 10. See Plans. |
| "You've used this month's AI help" | Add and edit by hand until next month, or upgrade to Pro. |
| No Ready for approval option, or "not assigned to a brand" | Your manager needs to assign you to a brand on the desktop. |
| No Actions on the Hub | Kitchen actions are for chefs in a company account. |
Engineering
| Problem | Fix |
|---|---|
| Approve is greyed out | Every ingredient must be matched first. See Sort and match. |
| Promote opens the upgrade page | Promoting needs the Kitchen plan. |
| "Pick a category before promoting" | Choose a category in the editor's Build stage. |
| An automatic match is wrong | Open Auto-matched on the Match tab and click Undo. |
| Cannot recall a promoted recipe | Set the dish to Non-active first. See Approve and promote. |
Menus and recipes
| Problem | Fix |
|---|---|
| "Menu enabling failed" | Add the missing description, image or price. See Put a dish live. |
| The price box will not let me type | The item is Active. Set it to Non-active, change the price, then reactivate. |
| "This Recipe is part of active menu" | Set it to Non-active before editing or deleting. |
| A promoted dish is not on the menu | Promoted dishes arrive Non-active. Activate them in Menu Manager. |
Inventory and purchasing
| Problem | Fix |
|---|---|
| "No active supplier for this branch" | Add a supplier that delivers to the branch. See Suppliers and prices. |
| An item cannot be added to a generated PO | Give it a default supplier. See Requisitions. |
| Production refuses to run | There is not enough stock, or a sub recipe has no stock or cost yet. Check Summary. |
| Par level will not save | Filter the Inventory List to a single branch first. |
Menus or screens have not updated
After your permissions change, sign out and sign in again so the menu refreshes.
