Categories and lists
Manage the categories, sizes, cooking methods and order types used across ChefAdmin.
These lists feed the dropdowns in the rest of ChefAdmin. New companies start with a standard set of categories, so you may not need to change much.
Categories
Settings > Categories. Choose the kind of category at the top:
- Ingredient Category
- Sub Recipe Category
- Menu Category
- Kitchen Section
Click Add New, type the name and save.
Deleting a category
A category is deleted straight away, even if items use it. Move items to another category first.
Sizes
Settings > Sizes. The sizes you offer, such as Regular and Large. Used in Combos. A size used in a recipe cannot be deleted.
Cooking Methods
Settings > Cooking Methods. A simple list, added and edited the same way as sizes.
Order Types
Settings > Order Types. How orders come in, such as dine-in, takeaway or delivery. Added and edited the same way as sizes.
